Goal: Say where and when you work, and use skal, kan, vil gerne and må plus an infinitive.

1) Where and when

på arbejde — at work
Jeg arbejder i et køkken. — I work in a kitchen.
Jeg arbejder på et lager. — I work in a warehouse.
Jeg arbejder fra klokken syv til klokken femten.
Jeg har fri på søndag. — I am off on Sunday.

Grammar

2) Modal + infinitive

After kan / skal / vil / må the next verb has no -r.
Jeg skal arbejde i morgen. — I have to work tomorrow.
Jeg kan arbejde om lørdagen. — I can work on Saturdays.
Jeg vil gerne have et job. — I would like a job.
Jeg må gå nu. — I have to go now.

3) More work words

en vagt — a shift
løn — pay / salary
en pause — a break
Hvad tid skal du møde? — What time do you start?
Jeg skal møde klokken otte.

4) I cannot…

Jeg kan ikke komme i dag. — I cannot come today.
ikke comes after the modal: kan ikke komme.
